De-to-the-Poe Bay!

D and I were able to get away for the weekend to get some serious relaxation in before the Trail Blazers season officially started. We went to our favorite little spot at Depoe Bay. It was 70 degrees and sunny all weekend which is rare but much appreciated and we fully enjoyed the time to re-connect and spend some quality time together. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend!

Pumpkin Patch

I wanted to update this post because we carved our pumpkins and made delicious pumpkin seeds...I made my JaJa's (my grandpa) recipe and they were as delicious as I remembered them being as a kid.

Fall has arrived...spider webs, vibrant leaves, chilly weather, rain and of course, Pumpkins. So we went to the pumpkin patch as a family last Sunday and picked some beautiful pumkins to decorate for the season. Here are some photos of our excursion....

We had ladies night on Friday and went to Lola's room for some 80's! Those of you Portlanders that haven't been, you must work Lola's Room 80's night into your schedule sometime soon.

Run...Erin...Run

Bob (my wonderful Father-in-law) and I decided to run the Portland 5 miler together this year...well actually I have been promising I would run it with him for the past 4 years and have never gotten my act together in enough time to actually run. So 2009 was the year!!

We had a blast! Bob was so encouraging and Katie and Jesse were there to cheer us on as well. I would never have been able to do it without them. I had never run 5 miles before in my life so crossing the finish line was sure a big accomplishment for me.

Sake, Vino and Circus!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend with great family and friends!

On Saturday, we went wine/sake tasting with our dear friends Jeremy and Sara. We started with a trip to the sake place and learned a ton on a tour. The process is pretty cool. Then we headed into Carlton to drink some fine pinot noirs and play some slingball. A day of drinking will sure make you hungry so we ended at Russell Street BBQ for some delicious ribs. It was a perfect day.

And on Sunday, we had a family outing at the Circus! It was awesome, we had our own suite and we definitely felt pretty big-time.

Family, Food, and Fun

We have been enjoying summer to the fullest and I can't believe it is already SEPTEMBER...WHAT?!?!?

Two weekends ago I went to Tucson to spend the weekend with my mom as Michael and Dad were in India. We had a blast eating delicous food, laying out in the sun, shopping at TJ Maxx and drinking wine with Aunt T while watching the Tucson sunset (the best sunsets in the world).





And then I returned to Portland the day that Katie and Jesse moved up here. I made it home just in time to welcome them. And then just a few short days later we picked up and went to Depoe Bay for the weekend to relax. It was beautiful as always, we saw whales, ate pizza, watched movies and played cribbage. Oh, and Mary made her famous Dutch Baby for breakfast...YUM!

Hi all,
I haven't written in a while so I thought I would just drop a quick note to let you know I haven't forgotten about you.

David and I went to Sunriver for a couple days with my fellow Trail Blazers folks and had a blast. We enjoyed playing golf, hanging out by the pool and going on long bike rides (that kind of sounds like a singles ad, doesn't it?)!

Now I am off to Tucson for a wonderful Mother-Daughter trip as my Dad and Brother are currently in India for a couple weeks.

I should have some great photos and more interesting stuff to share soon. But in the mean time, I hope you are still enjoying summer!

Godmamma

I am going to be a Godmamma! Our dear friends Bryan and Becca are having a beautiful baby girl (and yes, I already know she will be beautiful) due in late September. And I am so honored that they asked David and I to be Godparents. We could not be happier or more excited. Thank you Bryan and Becca!

Weekend in central Oregon

We went to Camp Sherman this past weekend to celebrate the wedding of our friends, Tyler and Jill. It was a wonderful weekend of great friends, laughing, drinking and dancing. Here are some photos to share with you.

Talented Family

I have been blessed with a wonderful family. I have always known how kind, generous, smart and fun my family is but recently I have realized that I have some VERY talented folks in my family.
